There is a new rural research report from the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs and Art-Force called “Cross-Currents: Artists + Manufacturers Strengthening Place.”
Following a deep recession in manufacturing in North Carolina and a concurrent drop in arts funding, Art-Foce has explored developing connections between artists and the manufacturing sector to benefit the economic development of both groups.
This report documents this process and includes recommendations for replicating its successes.
